2000 Offseason Review
Last Updated: Tuesday, May 16th, 2000
Redrum Lose Two Key Players

Greg Scego (above) & Steve Bradford will be missed in 2000.
Offseason Review: Redrum started off the 1999 season with a blistering 10-0 record, losing their first game of the year to the Texas Thunder by a tally of 10-9 in last year's City of Houston League play-offs. The team finished the year with a 27-4 record. The team looks to improve on last year's performance in 2000.

Two key players from the nucleus of the team was lost in the offseason. Greg Scego moved to Austin, Texas & Steve Bradford moved to Maryville, Tennessee. Scego started at second base & Bradford started at first base. Redrum will be hard pressed to replace the consistency of both of these players.

The team hopes that newcomers Paul Sutera, Matthew Jackson, Rich Zoeller & Tommy Widacki will be able to fill in for these veteran players. Mike Fonseca rejoins the team after spending a year in the minor leagues of Monterrey, Mexico. Fonseca should add some offensive punch to the line-up. Ryan Barth is also planning to rejoin the team later in the year.

Preview:Despite losing two starters from last year's squad, Redrum looks poised to have another successful campaign in the year 2000.
