“Two strikes is just the beginning…”

When confronted with a 2-strike count as a hitter you must:

  1. Slightly widen your stance (1-2”) to eliminate lateral movement and to pick the ball up quicker.
  2. Move a smidge closer to the plate to take away the inside pitch.
  3. Choke up on the bat ˝” or more to gain more bat control and help increase bat/hand speed.
  4. Shorten the swing: short and quick to the ball (more control).
  5. Hit the ball where it is pitched.
