Indoor/Outdoor Wall Drill
SwingAway - Get Good Gazette, Volume 2 Issue 25

Purpose: To develop a hands inside-the-ball approach. To prevent a long, casting swing.

Position the hitter in his stance with their back elbow 3-4 inches from the wall. Allow the hitter to load and then swing. The object is to swing without hitting the wall while remaining balanced.

A great drill when used in combination with the SwingAway.

Load. Stand with hands 3-4 inches from wall. Hands move backwards slightly, not contacting wall. Slight bend in lower arm. Maintain flex in front arm. Back elbow drops to hip. Hands must lead the barrel. Balanced Follow Through.
