It's Time To Get Ready For The Season
SwingAway - Get Good Gazette, Volume 1 Issue 17

It's been said that great players are made in the off-season. Here are a some great drills to get you ready for the season.

  1. Jumping Rope: This is a great way to increase your speed, agility, and coordination. Try a heavier rope as you build your strength up.
  2. The Box Jump: Place a small box on the floor and jump from side to side over the box. Begin by using both feet and when your strong enough try single leg jumps. Then get a bigger box.
  3. Push-Ups: Begin your routine doing as many push-ups as you can and increase that number by one every day. Set a goal to reach 100 push-ups a day.

Baseball is a game of speed and quickness. An off-season conditioning program should stress building these attributes. During the next six weeks, we will feature additional drills and techniques to prepare you for the upcoming season.
