Life is like a game but we are not told the rules nor given instruction about how to play. Baseball is life! BUT…baseball has definitive rules you MUST learn in order to play it successfully.

The Ten General Rules of Life

1. You received a body and mind…use them!
2. You will have many opportunities…be the BEST you can be!
3. There are NO mistakes, only lessons and choices… risk!
4. A “lesson” is repeated until learned… perfect practice makes perfect!
5. Learning does NOT end… keep on working!
6. “There is” no better than “here." ”No goals, no glory!"
7. Others are only mirrors of you. “Do unto others…!"
8. What you make out of life is up to YOU. “Take your passion and make it happen."
9. All the answers lie within you. Be aware, look, listen, and trust!
10. There are NO REAL RULES but your faith and wisdom. “Life is reality, live it!”

Some helpful “Rules:”

• There are no secrets to success…except hard work
• Do not learn the “tricks of the trade,” learn the trade.
• Trust, but always verify. (Trust everyone but cut the cards.)
• Simplify!
• Life is not fair…it is a predicament.
• Never, never, never, never, never, never quit!
• Life goes on… it’s one darn thing after another.

BASEBALL RULES

Read the “Rule Book“ and know it… If you do not, it will catch up on you.

Some Unwritten Baseball Rules:

• Everyone was a rookie once.
• Sometimes nine innings (7 innings) are a smidge too short.
• When in doubt, SLIDE!
• NEVER take a third strike.
• Do not walk the lead-off hitter.
• Keep your eyes on the ball.
• Always be ready for the curveball.
• Never make the first or last out at third base.
• Do not talk to a pitcher with a no-hitter or bunt to break one up.
• Never “take” a pitch on a suicide squeeze.
• Hit, hit, hit… to hit, you gotta hit!
• Win or lose, life goes on!
